This event has been created by South Cave Scout Group in memory of Bob Gunby.  Bob was A Scouter, A Walker, A Friend, A husband, A Dad; he was for many years chairman and an active member at South Cave Scouts.  He was a keen walker and outdoor person and was at his best in the outdoors passing on his scouting knowledge of everything from walking/hiking to corn beef hash.  Bob sadly passed away at the end of 2010.  The members at South Cave Scouts wanted to remember Bob, and what better way than running a challenge walk to raise money for Scouts in his memory.  The walk will start and finish at South Cave and will take in the Wolds and Valleys of the southern end of the East Yorkshire Wolds. There are 2 route options for the event, the long route being 27.5 miles and the shorter route 15 miles.

The Golden Fleece Circuit is now established in to the yearly calendar and was created in 2012 by South Cave Scout Group in memory of Bob Gunby (Group chairman).Bob sadly passed away at the end of 2010. 

Starting in South Cave at the All Saints’ Community Centre  and walking over the southern end of the stunning East Yorkshire Wolds.

• registration from 07:00.

Entry fee includes badge, certificate & refreshments during the walk and at the finish.

There are no entries on the day.

There will be no transfers allowed after 13th February 2023. ( midnight)

All under 18's must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event.

For the safety of our competitors, we have a cut off at checkpoint 9 ( YorkGround Farm ). Any one not through CP9 by 3pm will not be allowed to continue.
