Should the event be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances outside the control of Hull Thursday Road Club or any circumstances of force majeure (natural and unavoidable catastrophes) Hull Thursday Road Club will provide a refund based on an open accounting calculation in terms of loss and expense.  The Club is not a profit making organisation and we promise that we will endevour to refund riders a fair preportion in the event of cancellation outside of our control. 

The event is a cycle challenge held on open roads.  Whilst the event is not a race, riders will be given an overall completion time using a electronic timing chip provided by Sports Timing Solutions. All finishers will receive a digital timing certificate which can be downloaded. 

The route will be signed or marked on open roads however all riders must obey the highway code and wear an approved cycle helmet at all times.

By signing up to the event you are agreeing to participate in this event at your own risk. You acknowledge that there are certain risks of injury and you voluntarily agree to assume the full risk of any and all injuries, damages or loss that you may sustain as a result of said participation. 

By entering you understand the event is not a race; it is a personal challenge. You agree to obey the highway code and be conscientious towards other cyclists and road users. 

You must rely on your own ability in dealing with all hazards and you must ride in a manner which is safe for yourself and others. If you do not abide by these terms and conditions you will be removed from the event.

You agree that you are solely responsible for determining if you are physically fit and/or skilled for the activities contemplated in the event.

You understand you are responsible for ensuring your bike is road worthy, properly maintained and equipped to ride safely. You attend the event with the necessary equipment, cycling kit, spares and tools. You must wear a helmet at all times when cycling.

By entering the event you agree that no liability whatsoever shall attach to the event organisers or Hull Thursday Road Club in respect of any injury, loss or damage suffered by yourself in or by reason of the event. 

The event organisers reserve the right to change the route or cancel the sportive in the event of unforeseen circumstances including severe weather conditions. 

All participants under the age of 18 must submit a consent form completed by their parent/guardian to the organisers before the event. Parental consent forms are available for download from the British Cycling website. Riders under the age of 16 must also be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
